Believe in the magic! Go Oregon Ducks!!!

If you follow college football at all, you know that the Oregon Duck football team will be playing in the Rose Bowl on January 1st! Our family is so excited for the new Heisman trophy winner too...Congrats to Marcus Mariota-the Oregon Ducks quarterback!!!

Having two daughters that graduated from the University of Oregon, it is only natural that my family is thrilled to have U of O in the playoffs for the national title! Our family really gets into the Ducks games! My Mom even calls me after every touchdown and yells Woo Hooo and then hangs up! It has become a tradition!

I am known for making a green and yellow Oregon Duck project here and there....
so this is my latest Duck card. This card just  had to be a Christmas card. Took me forever to find time to finish it-stamping time is at a premium!!!

I used a fun Penny Black Duckling stamp as well as a partial sentiment (yes, I cut apart my sentiment stamp-but I put it back together after I was done-I promise!)  from a new Mama Elephant stamp set-Believe in  Magic  and also stamped on the back of the card with the  Paper Smooches Just For You stamp set. I am not always good about signing the back of my cards so I was happy to be 'prompted' to do just that with this set! You can find both of these sets at Inspiration Emporium and get a 10% if you use the code suestamps13.

I also used an Impression Obsession spiral flower die to make the little Roses that I stuck over the tulips on the original stamp...after all, it is the Rose Bowl! The red  bow and the "O"  were cut with my Silhouette and the designer paper is Doodlebug-Home for the Holidays. The solid cardstock is from SU! (I really miss Summer Sun).

On a side note:

...... my crafty friend Kecia Waters is rooting for her team in the playoffs too-Ohio State is one of the top 4 as well. She makes the best Ohio State team inspired cards! I  always get tickled over her creations-You can see them HERE,

See You Soon!  ♥ Sue

Christmas projects 2014- part 2!

Just a quick peek at another project I have been working on with my school teacher daughter Abby. She did the glittering and bows and I did the vinyl lettering. We are quite the tag team!
She will surprise her students in the morning with a little tree full of these ornaments. One side of the ornament has their name in the Waltograph font and the other uses the same font with the school and year information.

If you are so inclined to make any of these, let me recommend this video on reverse weeding-it was a real life saver when I got to the small printed info!

Hope you are enjoying all the preparations of the holidays!  I have been working on a single Oregon Ducks card for several weeks now and I  keep getting side tracked, but maybe this week I will get a few minutes to finish it up!

See You Soon!

What have I been up to?

 Playing with my Silhouette!

I have a couple days of vacation so I am finishing up some wrapping for my parents.  My parents are in their 80's and given all the happenings of 2014, they have not had the energy for the holiday projects they normally do, but they oh so love to give "a little something" to each grandchild, great grand child and GREAT GREAT grandchild! (over 40 and counting)Yes, we have a big family!  This year I shopped for them on Black Friday sales mostly at Penny's and got these lovely kraft gift boxes along with the purchases.

My Mom usually does her own wrapping, but this year I told her I would take care of it. Here's my plan ---LOL...use the lovely kraft boxes, add some fancy, shiny wire ribbon and a fun snowflake alphabet from Miss Kates Cuttables as the name tags. Mom will add the pretty ribbon and bows to the wrapped little kids packages once they get to her house! I wish I had time to add to the krafty boxes  a touch of greenery , but hey-I'm done for this year!

Now on to more daily projects. This plan fit right in with my goal of simplifying this year...less decorations, fewer cookies and easier annual Christmas project! OH---I forgot to show you that...I will get pics and show you my Pinterest barnwood trees soon!

I hope you enjoyed this peek inside my Christmas!

Penny Black December Challenge--- Snowflakes

I cut this card out with my Silhouette using a fun globe card pattern. I then embossed with a lovely  snowflake embossing folder from Darice.

I used the clear stamp set Jolly Follies from Inspiration Emporium and a little froggie from the Penny Black Holly day critters transparent set as well.

This is such a fun can see the acetate window in the snow globe opening if you look closely. This is a tri-fold card that I changed up(cutting out Santa and adding in my little critters and tree). It was a little hard to photograph, but I think you can get the idea of it's "3-d ness" LOL!

Please pop in to view more inspiration from the PB team!

NOTICE; A couple quick changes - Di's Shop NAME is now;

Di's BIO:  {I've been drawing since a child and studied graphics at College many years ago, I now work as a Medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4yrs ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but I’m afraid I got the bug! My daughter preferred scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with like-minded people.  I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I couldn't find what I wanted so I started to draw myself. This then has become my second addiction and I've never looked back. I love thinking of new images, and it's just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful works of art. Long may it continue! }

Lawn Fawn Deck the Halls and Snowy Forest Die

I have been loving all the wonderful Lawn Fawn stamps, dies and paper coming out lately!

Today I am showing your a very quick and easy card I made with Lawn Fawn products.  I used the Snow Day paper as the main focus of the the little bunnies playing in the snow!  I added a 'snowy' forest border die, stamped the sentiment from the stamp set Deck the Halls and added a little touch of twine.  I cut one little strip of the 6x6 paper pad that had hearts and added that to the bottom of the 'hill'-just because I liked it!

Can you spot the little bunny holding a tiny heart as well? Just adorable!!!

From Mimi-Happy Holidays!

Inspiration Emporium November Challenge

Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Think Coats, Hats, Scarves & Gloves.

Wish You Weren't So Far Away!

I made this cute little Mimi Penny Black holiday card with some colorful Doodlebug 'frosty friends' designer papers. I love the change from the traditional red and green! I also used a pop out card cut file from the Silhouette Store designed by Lori Whitlock for my card base(you will most likely see more of these coming yout way-gotta love them). Below you can see how a picture of how the card looks if folded flat.
I added a Simon Says tilted banner and sentiment  and a few punched snowflakes to top it all off.

I colored and cut out Mimi, adding her on top of the original stamped image. Before attaching Mimi, I added a blue chalk 'halo' around the bottom image and then stuck down the fussy cut Mimi!

This is how you fold it to fit into an envelope.

Here you can see the layers I added  for dimension. 4 layers of presents!

I do hope you can join in the challenges above! I am always tickled to have you visit my little part of the blog world!

It is getting cold here-the wind is blowing like crazy and it is bringing with it the cold-I read this weather is coming from Alaska so it is bound to be a long, cold week! Perfect for staying inside and stamping!

I made this little criss cross card and added an inside a tab card with a computer generated sentiment.  The 25 and the mittens are cut with dies, the card cut with my Silhouette. I took my color scheme from Lawn Fawn Snow Day papers. The stamp is a cling by Stampendous named Trim The Tree.
I added Distress glitter(clear rock candy) for a sparkly ground.
